5 Popular Fonts that Every Graphic Designer Should Have

If you’re starting out in the world of graphic or web design, here are 5 most popular fonts you need to have in your design arsenal. We’ve collected on just five fonts, but who do you think we should add to the list? Let us know in the comments at the bottom of the post.

Myriad Pro Font


Myriad Pro font is OpenType font, and is a family of Adobe fonts, that ships with popular softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Affter Effect or Adobe Reader. It can be a challenge making sure that remote workers are working to their best too, so we have been using some remote employee productivity monitoring software which has enabled us to improve productivity very nicely. The Myriad Pro is best known for its usage by Apple Inc. The font has become a popular choice for both text and display composition, is designed to be used at a text size of 11.0 points.

Ubuntu Font


Ubuntu font family was designed by Dalton Maag and includes 8 styles with weights from light to bold. Ubuntu is a humanist-style font that’s popular for being very rounded and quirky.

Roboto Font


Roboto font has a dual nature. It has a mechanical skeleton and the forms are largely geometric. At the same time, the font features friendly and open curves. While some grotesks distort their letterforms to force a rigid rhythm, Roboto doesn’t compromise, allowing letters to be settle in to their natural width. This makes for a more natural reading rhythm more commonly found in humanist and serif types.

Open Sans Font


The Open Sans Font is propably the most popular sans-serif web font, all 10 different styles (light, regular, semi-bold, bold, extra bold) was designed by Steve Matteson. The letters in Open Sans have some unique and subtle look so you can use them in logo designing. The font comes to you in .ttf format and is under Apache License v2.00 (document inside pack).

Lato Font


Lato is a sans serif typeface family designed in the Summer (Polish name – Lato) 2010 by Lukas Dziedzic, a talented type designer and font developer from Poland. The font now supports 100+ Latin-based language, The download archive contains all nine weights (plus corresponding italics), including awesome hairline style and license file. This font belongs to font collection that you need to have.
